Australian Shark and Ray Centre
An essential and exciting experience awaits everybody! Children of any age can join in and feed, pat and play with some of the most awesome creatures in the world. Just standing in waist deep water or less, and hand feeding sharks and rays is something no-one ever forgets.

Shark and Ray Feeding
One of the truly great animal experiences. Walk in water only waist deep and be surrounded by HUNDREDS of sharks and rays. An awesome spectacle whilst you feed an amazing array of sharks and stingrays in complete safety. Children of all ages absolutely love it, and adults become children with the gentle creatures. Be amazed as you walk either completely DRY in waterproof pants, or in a warm wetsuit and be literally welcomed by animals that used to scare you.

Feeding from the Outside
An awesome experience still, the fish are conditioned to come right up to you so you can pat and feed them without getting wet. Though the real thrill is going in the water, this is still an amazing experience for anyone watching the kids or just wanting to experience it all themselves.

Beleura House & Garden Mornington
Beleura, an Italianate villa was erected around 1863/1864 for James Butchart.

The house changed hands a number of times over the years to some significant people and in 1916 Sir George and Lady Tallis purchased much of the property and acquired some 2000 acres in and around Mornington.

Sir George spent his retirement farming; however he is better known as a theatrical entrepreneur who for many years was the major stakeholder and Chairman of Directors of the giant entertainment company J.C. Williamson Ltd. His wife, formerly an actress, became a doyenne of Melbourne society and charity worker. Sir George and Lady Tallis continued the traditional use of Beleura as a seaside house. They had 4 children.

Sir George died in 1948, when by family agreement Beleura was acquired by his youngest son, Jack Morton, known in later years as John. John Tallis gentleman, composer of music, bequeathed Beleura, its contents and the Tallis Foundation, to the people of Victoria in 1996. (Anthony Knight 2006)

Emotional Freedom Solutions
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a new discovery that has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. It is a unique version of acupuncture except you don’t use needles. Instead, you stimulate energy meridian points (tapping points) on your body by

The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere. It launches off the EFT Discovery Statement which says…“The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body’s energy system” And because our physical pains and diseases are so obviously connected with our emotions, the following statement has also proven to be true…
“Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases.”

Matrix Reimprinting is a relatively new, advanced use of EFT. It is an amazingly effective energy therapy. I am very excited by the results I am getting for myself and others.

Health Practioners from all different backgrounds are using EFT and Matrix Reimprinting in their practice. Doctors, hypnotherapists and psychologists are discovering how easy and effective it is compared to conventional treatments/methods. I am an EFT Practitioner/Trainer to level 1 and 2 and Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner. I am also the first Matrix Reimprinting Trainer in Australia.

My passion is to teach as many people as possible how to use these energy therapies, so they can have more control of their own emotions and wellbeing.

Gordon Studio Glassblowers
To witness the art of glassblowing is to witness history. The practice dates back as far as the early days of the Roman Empire, which helped it spread across the then-known world. Red Hill’s Gordon Studio Glassblowers offers not only a gallery of colourful pieces of glass art for sale – both functional and decorative – but also an opportunity to see this ancient practice in action.

Gordon Studio Glassblowers gallery and studio was built in 2005. The space was designed to accommodate the continual interest in Gordon Studios art glass and the corresponding production needs. The gallery incorporates rural views, landscaped exteriors with a bright and open interior space, enabling customers to view a large range of finished art works on display. All are welcome to visit the art glass gallery during open hours. Grant or Eileen are usually available and are happy to discuss any individual needs that customers may have in regards to creating a custom designed piece.

See the blowing room and experience the searing heat of the furnaces from the security and comfort of a light filled viewing mezzanine, where you can observe resident glass artists working with molten hot glass. A truly unique experience to witness the ancient techniques used to work hot glass and shape it with tools, adding colour, blowing air and harnessing gravity to create beautiful art glass forms.

Mbantua Fine Art Gallery
In November 2010 Mbantua Gallery opened in the Main Street of Mornington; a specialist in aboriginal art from Utopia in Central Australia. Its connection to the aboriginal art is through the main gallery in Alice Springs.

On the 1st June 1992, Mbantua Gallery first opened its doors in the heart of Alice Springs. Today it is arguably the largest privately owned aboriginal art gallery in the world.

The Gallery began as an offshoot of Mbantua Store, a small general store situated at 55 Gap Road in Alice Springs. Established by the Finke River Mission way back in the 1950s Mbantua Store still caters for traditional Aboriginal people and has done so since well before any of the major supermarket chains ever came to town. It is now part of Alice Springs history.

Mbantua Store also had a small Aboriginal Art section for many years and so Mbantua Gallery was created. The close affiliation it had with traditional Aboriginal people, the long history of dealing in Aboriginal Art, and the increased demand for and production of art, made it a forgone conclusion that Mbantua Gallery was destined to evolve.

Specialising in art of the Utopia region, north east of Alice Springs, from an early stage, Mbantua played a key role in the history and evolution of Utopia art. The emergence of the Utopia artists is considered to be the largest art movement in the world.

Traditional Aboriginal life is lived in the Utopia Region. The native languages, mainly Alyawarr or Anmatyerre, are the first spoken, with English a second, third or fourth language or sometimes not spoken at all. Traditional ceremonies, hunting and business are still carried out, kadaicha men (tribal assassins) exist, and sacred sites are maintained. The Utopia art is known widely for its vibrant colours and contemporary appeal, yet in knowing its origin, the art of Utopia becomes even more intriguing.

In conjunction with Mbantua Store, Mbantua Gallery visits the remote Utopia region 51 weeks of the year, and has done so since 1986. The round trip is in excess of 600 kilometres. During these years, a wonderful rapport has developed between the people of Utopia and Mbantua Gallery. More than 250 different artists from Utopia paint for Mbantua Gallery with new artists signing up every month.

Promotion of Aboriginal art and culture is also a very important mission. Mbantua gallery travels nationally and internationally, for those unable to visit any of our galleries. This includes private Utopia art viewing, presentations on the art & culture, public exhibitions, fundraising exhibitions and school seminars. Please check our latest news and events for our upcoming touring.

We offer handmade sea glass creations from the scenic Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. Our sea glass has washed up along the shores of the Mornington Peninsula and our designs have been inspired by everything we love about life on the Peninsula.

Each piece of sea glass from Mornington Sea Glass is a fragment of our past on the Peninsula. Mystery surrounds its origin. It used to be something else, belong to someone, and could have arrived on the Peninsula long ago. Sea glass is a little piece of our history found in the sand and now reshaped by the forces of nature.

Designed with the beach lover in mind, Mornington Sea Glass is proud to offer a sea glass collection that includes art, home decor and jewellery designs.

"Nature Days, Nurture Children" and create healthy, happy kids!

Narelle Debenham is playing her part in re-skilling parents through her program Natured Kids. "Parents like knowing their children are safe [sitting] on the lounge, but they also know it's not doing them any good."

Debenham organises weekly excursions to explore nature in the local area. "The program always goes ahead, rain, hail or shine, because kids love playing in puddles, and exposure to all weathers builds their immunity," Debenham says.

"If children have positive experiences in nature early on and become comfortable and confident in it, they will think of nature as a recreational option and not just turn to technology for play."

Debenham is adamant young children shouldn't be burdened with environmental woes. "Instead, I focus on cultivating a love of nature in children, then they'll naturally want to look after it."

Polperro Dolphin Swims
For most of us, swimming with dolphins is a rare and magical experience, so who better to help you connect with these magnificent creatures than the people who've been making the introductions in Port Phillip Bay the longest? The Muir family established Polperro Dolphin Swims in 1986. Named after their classic, lovingly maintained boat, which is 25 years young, Polperro has led the bay in environmentally responsible dolphin interactions. Judy Muir in particular has been tirelessly active in establishing and improving legislation controlling human interaction with wild marine animals, including dolphins.

That's why passengers can't swim up to the bay's bottlenose dolphins, but rather hang on to long ropes trailing from the Polperro's stern, waiting for these often curious creatures to come to them. The rope, and the crew's careful training and supervision of passengers, mean that even non-swimmers can enjoy this exciting experience. “People who are very shy and reticent about getting in the water, in the end you can't get their heads out!” says Judy.

The Polperro departs from Sorrento pier twice daily from October to April. Passenger numbers are strictly limited so everyone has ample opportunity to get wet, or watch dolphins at play from the deck. Reef and seal swims are often part of Polperro trips as well. These are also revelatory experiences, even for most locals, as the bay's rich aquatic life is a surprisingly well-kept secret.

All gear, including wetsuits and snorkels, are provided, and the Polperro has change areas below deck. On chilly days her saloon cabin is warmly welcoming, as is the complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and delicious scones, freshly baked on board by Judy. They're the cherry on top of an inspiring, memorable experience, which saw Polperro enter the Victorian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame in 2001, after winning the environmental tourism category three years running.

The Yoga House
At The Yoga House we teach Hatha yoga in a flowing vinyasa style with influences from the Ashtanga and Iyengar lineages. We focus on synchronizing movement with the breath to create a meditative flow. We design a new Sequence for every season, always starting the new Sequence with a strong focus on technique and alignment. As we progress through the Sequence our practice becomes increasingly meditative and flowing.

Yoga is about bringing your body and mind in balance. It deepens your knowledge and understanding of your body ? knowing your strengths and weaknesses and learning how to work with that, is integral to what we do. We teach most poses (Asanas) from beginner stage and then add to the posture to increase the difficulty level ? students are encouraged to work at their level.

Our bodies are all different and therefore we all need slightly different postures.

At The Yoga House we aim to create a supportive yoga community; everyone is welcome whether you are beginner or a long time yogi.
