Frankston Tourism Inc champions the local tourism industry in order to build sustainable prosperity. They will achieve this by:
- Representing and advocating on behalf of the industry
- Developing co-operative marketing partnerships
- Facilitating opportunities to connect and learn to enhance the visitor experience
- Cultivating relationships with government, industry and our community to build a sustainable tourism industry
Frankston Tourism is a Local Tourism Association (LTA). The role of the Board is to set the strategic direction for the growth of tourism across Frankston City and to oversee the implementation of the strategic plan in conjunction with Council.
As a result of the successful implementation of the Frankston Tourism Strategy 2003-2008, tourism has emerged as a growth industry for Frankston. Frankston City Council together with Frankston Tourism Inc, has developed a 3 to 5 year strategic plan for tourism activities in Frankston that will continue to build upon the original strategic direction and guide through to 2013.
