Frankston City Council has over 30 free roam areas for dogs in parks and reserves across the municipality. Free Roam areas are open spaces where dogs can be taken off leash to exercise.
Dogs are not permitted on any beach during the months of December, January, February and March, between the hours of 9:30am and 7:30pm. Dogs are permitted at all other times, provided they are on a lead.

Each October, Frankston City hosts their annual Pets Day Out at Ballam Park in Frankston where you can treat your pet and the whole family to a fun day of FREE entertainment, giveaways, kids rides and activities. All pets are welcome.
The Visitor Information Centre sells a book called Holidaying With Dogs, Australia’s largest directory of Pet Friendly accommodation.
