Intimate Transactions is an interactive exhibition in which visitors can interact with a person in Mildura through a virtual space. Each participant uses a physical interface called a "Bodyshelf". One of Australia's most brilliant young conductors teams up with one of Australia's finest horn players for this superb program. The overture, by the composer of Scheherazade, is a colourful potpourri of Russian folk songs. Richard Strauss' father was one of the great horn players of his time; in this concerto, written when the composer was 78, he produced a loving tribute to his father's instrument and to the style and grace of Mozart's concertos.
