Sand Sculpting Australia is excited to present to you - Friends, Foes & Super Heroes.
From Boxing Day 2014 through to April 26 2015 , Frankston Waterfront will again be transformed as 3,500 tonnes of sand is carved into spectacular sand sculptures. This year Sand Sculpting Australia will present “Friends, Foes & Super Heroes” - carving iconic and adored Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars characters.
Journey through the magical sand pathways to see Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, Disney Princesses and Pixar characters such as Buzz, Woody, Lightning McQueen and Mater. Get close to Marvel’s legendary heroes, including Spiderman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers. Fans of Star Wars are also in for a treat as they can view the sand creations of Yoda, Jabba the Hut and ultimate foe Darth Vadar along with detailed sand sculptures of the might of the Empire’s Death Star and Rebel symbol of hope Luke’s X-Wing fighter.

Integrated with the sculptures will be children’s activities including Sand Sculpting Workshops, Sand Art, Sand Bottles, Sand Diggers, our Giant Sand Pit, Children’s Activity Sheet and our interactive Lego Play Zone, Channel 9 Summer Chill Zone* (Please see below for weekday/weekend timetable of activities)
Plus, on weekends and school holidays, there will be roving entertainment and free face painting.

The event itself is Cash Only – all tickets (except for group bookings) can be purchased on the day at the ticket box located at the main entrance of the event or at the Frankston Visitor Information Centre using a debit or credit card (no cash out sorry).

Throughout the City of Frankston, free 2-hour parking is available on most streets. There are also paid parking areas available, both with and without time limits. Please check signs carefully when parking to avoid any violation of local by-laws, especially at the Frankston Waterfront where paid parking was introduced in November 2011. These parking machines take coins or credit card.
The event is a 10-minute walk from Frankston Station, and Met link operates an electrified rail service from Melbourne CBD to Frankston. The journey takes approximately one hour.
A diesel service also operates to Frankston from Stony Point, with stations at Crib Point, Bittern, Tyabb, Hastings and Somerville.
