Point of Difference

The Eco Living Display Centre, located at The Briars Park in Mt Martha, shows first hand how water, energy and waste efficiency features work to reduce your impact on the environment, reduce your bills and make your home more comfortable.

Hours: Wednesday 1pm - 4pm; Friday 1pm - 4pm; First Saturday of each month 11am - 3pm

Come on a free guided tour or participate in one of our many activities. Tours are available during opening hours and at other times upon request.

Entry to the Eco Living Display Centre is free of charge. However there may be charges for some workshops held at the Centre.

History
The Eco Living Display Centre was developed from an identified community need to have easy access to information about implementing sustainable living. The Centre itself was donated to the Shire from a developer on Bungower Rd and the building was sustainably retro fitted and ready for public viewing by January 2010.

Features of the Eco Living Display Centre
At the Centre you can see a range of water saving features including various water saving devices and appliances, a range of rainwater tanks, a grey water diverter and drip fed irrigation. The Centre also has many energy saving features including a range of different insulation types, solar hot water, solar power and several types of energy efficient lighting. The Centre features sustainable products including flooring, bench tops and decking material.

Directions:

The Briars Park is located in Mt Martha on the Nepean Hwy just past Mornington. It is approximately 15 minutes from Frankston.
