Ballam Park Homestead

Attractions Frankston

Situated 5 km from the Frankston CBD, Ballam Park Homestead is a French-style country farmhouse built in 1854 by Frederik Liardet. It is currently the home of the Frankston Historical Society.

Turning from Cranbourne Road into a long leafy driveway takes you back in time to an age of rustling silk gowns and creaking farm machinery. The house, which is full of old world charm, is set in a beautiful cottage garden surrounded by heritage-listed trees. A blacksmith shop, a museum and an extensive collection of farming implements are also on display. The Old Oak Rooms serve delicious Devonshire teas and local produce.

Guided tours are available by pre-arrangement.
