Ballam Park is home to a huge area of open space featuring two playgrounds, a basketball half-court, tennis wall, walking trails, ovals and an athletics track. There is plenty to do for people of all ages, with shade and barbecues provided in the large picnic area.

Walking track, public toilets, tennis wall and basketball ring also feature.

Around 30 hectares of open areas and sporting fields including a premier athletics track, AFL, soccer and cricket.

The Park is also home to Ballam Park Homestead, a historic home and museum from the 1850s run by the Frankston Historical Society.


Dog Friendly

There is also a dog free roam area and new dog agility park.
Just like you, your four legged friend enjoys escaping the daily grind, being running laps of the backyard, for exciting new adventures.
Pooches can enjoy a new Dog Agility Park where they can weave, dodge, climb, balance, crawl and jump over hurdles until their hearts content.

The tennis court sized fully fenced dog park located along the rear fence line of Ballam Park features hurdles of differing heights, jump through hurdles, balance beams, a crawl tunnel, weave poles bridge and sit-stay platforms. Three is also a grassed area with picnic facilities, seating and a drink tap with dog bowl.

The new park, an initiative of Council’s Domestic Animal Management Plan adopted in 2017, is make entirely of recycled material from local Carrum Downs business Replas and will provide an ideal setting for dogs to social with other pets while being in a safe environment that allows off-leash exercise. This agility park is located next to the free roam area, perfect for dogs that need more space.
