Join Winemaker and owner of Polperro wines, Sam Coverdale, for an exclusive first release of his 2016 single vineyard Polperro wines. As a taste of things to come, this dinner event also marks the formal introduction of our new Executive Chef Michael Demagistris. The menu will showcase Michael’s future food direction for the bistro and feature homegrown and local seasonal produce, supported with ingredients foraged from surrounding costal and roadside locations on the Mornington Peninsula.
Michael’s menu will bring to life his passion for foraging and respect for regional produce. Each dish has attention to detail and artistic flair that truly brings every element to life. Food that looks too good to eat, yet cannot be resisted. Michael’s devotion to his craft and his food direction is well-matched to Polperro’s concept; delivering a dining experience that’s built on the foundation of quality, authenticity, flavour and seasonal produce.
This event will also be the very first time Sam will formally introduce five of his new release 2016 single vineyard Polperro wines. The wines will span three of our prized vineyard sites on the Mornington Peninsula - Talland Hill, Mill Hill and Landaviddy Lane. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from these sites produce unique wines, each with it’s own distinctive character. Sam will provide an insight into the 2016 vintage and speak about the intricacies of each vineyard site. Each wine presented will be matched to Michael’s menu.
