Announced in 2018 as Frankston City city’s new signature event, The Big Picture Fest returns in 2019, kicking off with an epic FREE to the public Block Party on the evening of Friday 22 March.

Set in the Frankston city centre laneways of Steibel Place and Gallery Lane, the event will feature live music, live street art painting, roving performances and tasty food trucks.  Drinks will be available at stalls provided by Mornington Peninsula Brewery, Chirping Bird Winery and Mr Little Cider.

One act set to take to the Block Party stage is renowned Australian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Will Cuming, aka LANKS.

Following his sell out Triple J presented tour in 2018, LANKS performances have been described as adventurous and exploratory, boasting strong hooks, melodies, and danceable beats.

Attendees will also experience roving performances by The Illuminated Angels, presented by Born is a Taxi. Burdened with the safe-keeping of souls, the Angels speak and listen only with their heart. Visually stunning, these floating benevolent beings bestow light and joy where-ever they land, and create a sense of community amongst strangers through shared wonder and play.

Partygoers will also get a taste of what to expect throughout the festival with live street art painting from national, international and local artists – and maybe have the chance to speak one-on-one with this year’s headliners.

Consider dinner and drinks sorted, with a delicious array of food trucks booked and ready to serve the many families, hipsters, art lovers and party revellers expected to attend. There will also be an ample selection of local craft beer and wine offerings to choose from.
